Hinterland Lodge
For hunters seeking a high-density moose population with diverse terrain, the Hinterland Lodge offers an exceptional vantage point. This region is defined by an intricate network of woods roads, ponds, rivers, and bogs, providing versatile access to prime hunting grounds. The landscape is perfectly suited for those who appreciate the strategic advantage of navigating varied environments to track game.
Getting to the lodge is an adventure in itself. Guests typically fly into Gander where our team meets the group for the final leg of the journey. Access to this remote camp is via 4×4 pickup or ATV, ensuring we can get you and your gear deep into the heart of the hunting territory.
While the location is remote, the accommodations are far from rustic. The lodge is fully equipped to be your home away from home, featuring four large guest rooms with a mix of single and double beds. After a day in the field, you can relax by the woodstove or enjoy modern conveniences like hot water on demand, an indoor plumbing system, and full laundry facilities.
To keep you connected, we provide High-speed Starlink Wi-Fi, and our full-time cook ensures you are well-fed with hearty, local meals. We also feature a dedicated cool meat room on-site, providing the necessary infrastructure to handle your harvest professionally and safely.
Woodman’s Lodge
Our Blue Hill Pond Lodge offers a premier hunting experience set deep within the remote and rugged wilderness of Newfoundland. Situated on the border of the province’s largest wilderness reserve, the terrain is characterized by its vast, untouched beauty and strategically littered with high vantage points. These elevations provide hunters with expansive views over prime moose and caribou habitats, ensuring excellent visibility for spotting game.
Because of its isolated location, access to the lodge is strictly via helicopter, providing a seamless transition from the modern world into the heart of the backcountry. To begin their journey, hunters can choose to meet our team in either St. John’s or Gander, where we coordinate the final leg of the trip into the bush.
Despite the untamed surroundings, guests can expect high-quality lodge amenities that provide a comfortable retreat after a long day in the field. From reliable power and hot showers to local home-cooked meals, we ensure that the ruggedness of the hunt is balanced with the comforts of home.
